About me

Hi there! I’m a PhD student in Media Studies at the University of Oregon, focusing on platform governance, data privacy, and digital surveillance. I earned my master’s degree from the University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, focusing on visual communication and rumor management. I also hold a bachelor’s degree in Japanese from Wuhan University and a minor in Business Administration.

I have completed multiple internships at leading Chinese internet companies, including Tencent and ByteDance. Prior to my doctoral studies, I worked full-time at the China Telecom Research Institute, conducting research on network security and product analysis.

  • [03/2025] Awarded a research grant of $24,396 by the Consumer Protection Grant Committee, serving as Co-Principal Investigator. The project runs from June 2025 to June 2026.
  • [10/2024] My patent focusing on IoT security and defense passed substantive examination and has been officially granted.

  • [05/2023] I have passed the NPDP (New Product Development Professional)certification exam.
  • [07/2022] Led the formulation of the national industry standard Technical Requirements of Software Defined Perimeter (SDP) for Telecommunication Network as the main drafter.
  • [07/2021] Served as project manager and key contributor in the development of 5G Internet of Things (IoT) security products.
